Benjamin Herndon & Adie Russell: More Than Any Mirror

Headstone is honored to announce the two-person exhibition featuring works by Benjamin Herndon and Adie Russell titled More Than Any Mirror. Herndon’s alchemical approach to painting suspends disbelief for much longer than one expects; each work is painted black, yet insistently white. Wrestling with color in all its depth, Russell presents a celebratory fanfare of oil paintings as a floatation device, minus the emergency. Belief and patience are key. More Than Any Mirror remarks at what is beyond the surface, a guttural inclination of a need to understand harnessed in the unfamiliar and irresistible ways of seeing.
