Amy Jacobs: over, under, over, under

Headstone is delighted to announce Amy Jacobs’ solo exhibition over, under, over, under. Jacobs, with decades of expertise in the history and art of papermaking, presents fourteen psychedelic, “overshot” paintings made entirely of handmade paper and found textiles. Working from traditional 19th-century coverlet patterns created and used by weavers all over the world, Jacobs recaptures and pays homage to the handwork and beauty that continues to pervade contemporary visual culture, each work akin to the next - thicketed and vibrant as they ever were.
